Compare the acquisition paths

Older guides may call these Emperor items. Check the item identity, not only a translated name.

The item list records an increase of one to all stats for each and says they cannot be unequipped. These are source-based classic values; this site has not performed a Steam equipment test.

Check the alternative Sword path carefully

The dungeon reference places the alternative Sword reward in Yomotsu Hirasaka, also called Road to Hades in older English references. Its reward chain needs Natori's relevant sword conversation and is tied to her progress and the Orochi sequence. Going straight to a named floor without those events is not a complete acquisition plan.

Read the dungeon's own entry alongside the item list. The path is not available in the same way on every route, and the Sword has no documented special advantage against Orochi merely because Natori discusses it in that chain.

Decide before equipping

A permanent all-stat item is different from a piece you can rotate between encounters. Inspect the commander's role in future solo fights as well as army battles before committing it.

This matters particularly on a Kenshin campaign, where protective or other removable equipment can support duels. A broad stat gain is not automatically better than retaining flexibility for the next specific fight.

Keep the prerequisites in your notebook

Record your route, the relevant character conversation and the item already obtained. That helps separate a missing event from a misunderstood translation or a repeat-game starting item.

For the route context, see Kenshin's route. For dungeon preparation, read HP and moves, and keep the version guide in mind when comparing older translations.
