Entry prerequisites — route spoilers
This is a Second Game route. Check the following state before pursuing its purple entry command:
- Kenshin and Ai Naoe are recruited.
- The Ashikaga Clan is conquered.
- You control at least part of Sado.
- Kenshin's riceball event has occurred while she is at Trust and deployed with Rance.
- The headband story event has played after its other prerequisites.
- Kouhime is not missing and no other route has begun.
The community walkthrough describes the relevant command as A picnic with Kenshin in Sado. Selecting it consumes the actions remaining that turn. A generic Kenshin conversation is not necessarily the route-entry event.
Recruitment and entry are separate deadlines
First resolve Kenshin's coup and recruitment. After she joins, the picnic checklist still needs its own story and affection conditions. Keep a save before committing to a conquest that could advance the gourd sequence.
The headband event depends on the riceball event, Ashikaga's conquest and Apostle Shikibu's introduction. A guide's earliest possible numbered turn is therefore an optimized sequence, not a universal appointment.
Prepare for the Emperor Race
The route's main contest is first to one hundred points. Documented duels give twenty points each, while certain army results can also contribute. Before a duel, moves are restored but HP is not. Losing a duel gives a Game Over rather than an Alice's Mansion retry.
Plan healing and equipment before accepting a duel. Some character events alter Kenshin's level, so do not assume a strong entry roster remains unchanged throughout the route. Keeping flexible equipment and some upgrade resources can be useful.
Avoid mixing another ending's boss plan
The final route sequence is its own path. Kentarou does not join here, so a True-route lineup that relies on him is not directly transferable. Check your current roster and defensive skills before the final commander battle.
Use Imperial items for permanent equipment decisions and solo combat for HP, moves and substitutions. Exact mechanics here are documented for the classic release, not independently verified Steam conditions.
